On January 25, 2026 Ambassador Maksym Subkh met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Sabah.

The Ambassador informed the Kuwaiti side about Russian massive missile and drone attacks against peaceful cities of Ukraine and expressed hope of Kuwait's participation in the implementation of humanitarian projects in Ukraine including in energy sphere.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibility to hold the 5th meeting of the Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation in 2026.
