In the context of cultural exchange between the two countries it’s necessary to mention the first in the history of diplomatic relations «Days of Ukrainian culture in the State of Kuwait» (May 2012), which were held under the auspices of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature of the State of Kuwait and sponsorship of company «Kuwait Energy».
Great interest among Kuwaiti society was aroused by concert of soloists and student chamber orchestra of the P.Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music of Ukraine that took place in January 2013 at the Kuwaiti National Museum within frames of the 19th annual cultural festival «Al-Qurain».
Within the framework of the national campaign for international recognition of Petrykivka folk art style and gaining status of element of the intangible heritage of humanity in May 2013 in the city of El-Kuwait an exhibition «Petrykivka art painting – Ukrainian decorative and ornamental painting of XIX – XXI centuries» was held.
In order to promote achievements of cultural and historical heritage of the Kuwaiti people among Ukrainian community and on the occasion of the 20th and 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in June 2013 and February 2018 the "Days of Kuwaiti culture in Ukraine" were organized. During these events the art canvas of Kuwaiti artists were presented as well as musical works on traditional Arab motifs were performed.
In summer 2013 official Kuwaiti delegation of Ministry of State for Youth Affairs first time participated in the International Children's Festival «Let's change the world for the better» that was held at the ICC "Artek".
Significant potential in bilateral humanitarian cooperation exists in sphere of health care. In this context, the visit of Kuwaiti delegation headed by Minister of Health H.As-Sayer to Ukraine (January 2011) was very important, while the guests were acquainted with achievements of domestic medicine, in particular the International Clinic of Rehabilitation (town of Truskavets).
In this direction it is necessary to mention activities of its director, professor of medicine, the Hero of Ukraine V.Kozijavkin, where nearly two hundred Kuwaiti children with cerebral palsy were treated. Today the possibilities of attracting Kuwaiti investments in the development of national medical project «InterMedicalEcoCity», located on Arabat Spit (Kherson region), are also discussed.
In 2016, with the financial and organizational support of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature of the State of Kuwait, the publication of the first collection of Taras Shevchenko's works in Arabic was completed. On July 15, 2016, a ceremony of presentation of the collection was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and during the diplomatic reception on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine on December 1, 2016, the Embassy held a solemn presentation of the book in Kuwait.
Development of cooperation in the tourism sector also seems to be promising, in particular, medical tourism. In this context, it is appropriate to promote recreational areas of ARC and the Carpathian region, cities with rich cultural heritage, including through broad public awareness campaign by means of the Kuwaiti media, participation of Ukrainian tourism companies in the prominent exhibitions and fairs in the emirate.
