On March 30, 2021 Ambassador of Ukraine to Kuwait Dr. Balanutsa met with TD-Director of Coaching and Development at Kuwait Football Federation Mr. A. Ali Hamada, Coach at the College of Basic Education (Public Authority for Applied Educational and Training) Mr. W. Soleman Al-Habashi and sport activist Mr. M. Fathi Helwa.
The parties discussed a project of installing a memorial board and a monument to commemorate Mr. Lobanovskiy, a prominent Ukrainian football coach who had been working in Kuwait in the nineties of the XXth century. The invited guests who had personally knew Mr. Lobanovskiy told a story of his career path in Kuwait and showed rare archive materials with his interviews which could probably become the basis for a memoir of his students and colleagues.
