On 27 March 2024, the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait witnessed a momentous occasion as Ambassador Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa convened with Mr. Muhammad al-Ansari and Mr. Nasser al-Kandari, distinguished translators of 'Three Years in Kuwait' by the renowned Ukrainian physician and academic, Professor Viktor Trubnikov. This gathering underscored the enduring and multifaceted relations between our nations and peoples.

The translators shared their recollections of studying in Kyiv and their experiences translating this significant work, also extending their best wishes to the forthcoming scientific conference in Kharkiv. This event is dedicated to celebrating the centenary of Professor Trubnikov’s birth, reflecting on his immense contributions.

Ambassador Dr. Balanutsa presented the translators with a series of the Embassy’s publications, available in both Arabic and Ukrainian, which illuminate the rich cultural, educational, and historical connections between Ukraine and Kuwait. The meeting further explored future prospects for collaborative ventures in literature and translation, promising to strengthen the cultural bridge between our two countries.
