The "Ukrainian Institute" has announced the call for applications for the Lysiak-Rudnytsky Ukrainian Studies Programme 2025.

The program aims to deepen knowledge and understanding of Ukraine and its cultural heritage among various international audiences, stimulate new research in the field of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar studies, and integrate knowledge about Ukraine and Crimea into university curricula worldwide.

We invite project proposals from foreign institutions in the fields of education, science, and culture. Grant amount – up to $15,000.

Thematic focus of the program:

• Decolonizing Knowledge about Ukraine — Rewriting Ukrainian culture and history from the perspective of decolonization and undoing epistemic biases in global scholarship about Ukraine;
• Ukraine and the World — Ukraine’s role in European and global cultures, history, and politics;
• Crimean Tatar studies;
• Intercultural Ukraine — History and culture of Ukraine’s diverse communities;
• Independent Ukraine — History of Ukraine since 1991;
• Resilient Ukraine — Russian war against Ukraine (2014 –) and resilience: social, cultural, security, political, environmental, and economical dimensions.

Applications for the program are accepted until February 9, 2025.

The program is implemented by Ukrainian Institute - Український інститут in partnership with the Democratic Initiatives Foundation-Фонд "Демократичні Ініціативи" and with financial support from Міжнародний фонд "Відродження"
