Solemn gathering on occasion of the 201st anniversary of the Great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko’s birth

On March, 6 a solemn gathering on the occasion of the 201st anniversary of the birth of the great Ukrainian poet, painter and philosopher Taras Shevchenko was held.
The event, organized by the Public Union of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Friendship, was attended by representatives of the local Ukrainian community, Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates from other Arab countries who have ties with our Motherland.
Program of the meeting included a theatrical performance about the Great Kobzar’s life and creativity, prepared by pupils of the Sunday Ukrainian language school at the Ukrainian Embassy, as well as a competition for the best embroidery.
