On March, 29 Ambassador of Ukraine in the State of Kuwait Volodymyr Tolkach met with Director of the Europe Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Waleed Al-Hybeizi.

During the meeting the Parties considered current issues of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti relations and agreed upon joint steps regarding to implementation of planned activities.

The interlocutors discussed a possible level of representation of the State of Kuwait during the April events, devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy. W. Al-Hybeizi confirmed the readiness of his country's leadership to make its contribution to the Chernobyl Fund.

During the conversation the Parties discussed the situation, connected with media report on the alleged capture of Kuwaiti tanker with citizens of Ukraine on board by pirates and the prospects for resumption of direct flights between Ukraine and Kuwait.
