In the city of El-Kuwait at the premises of Modern Art Museum an exhibition «Petrykivka art painting – Ukrainian decorative and ornamental painting of XIX – XXI centuries» was held.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Kuwait and in cooperation with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature of Kuwait.
Opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Kuwaiti dignitaries – General Secretary of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature A.Al-Youha, Under-Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature B.Ad-Duweysh, director of the MFA Europe department W. Al-Hubeyzi, director of the MFA International Organizations department J.Al-Mubaraki, representatives of accredited diplomatic corps and artistic circles of the emirate, , the Public Union of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Friendship, citizens and guests of the host country.
The opportunity to gain practical experience of work in the Petrykivka style was offered to children of emirate’s citizens and residents during art workshops with the Ukrainian painters.
The exhibition was accompanied by significant interest from TV and print mass-media of Kuwait.
