On July 19, 2026, Ambassador Maksym Subkh met with the newly appointed Deputy Foreign Minister of Kuwait for European Affairs, H.E. Mr. Najib Al-Bader.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the situation in Ukraine and the Gulf region, as well as ways to enhance Ukrainian-Kuwaiti cooperation across various sectors. They agreed to coordinate issues of mutual support for candidacies to international organizations. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of scheduling the 5th joint meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Commission on Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation.
