On April 6, 2021, an online event was held for Ukrainian confectionery exporters and potential Kuwaiti importers. Ambassador of Ukraine to Kuwait Dr.Oleksandr Balanutsa and Ambassador of Kuwait to Ukraine Dr.Rashid Al-Adwani opened the event entitled "Virtual business mission of Ukrainian confectionery exporters to Kuwait".

The main speakers of the event were Mr.Oleksandr Baldyniuk, Chairman of the Association of Ukrainian confectionery producers “Ukrkondprom” (presentation of the industry and confectionery producers in Ukraine) and Mr.Faisal Ahmed Alrashidi, Head of Sea and Air-imports Food Department of Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.

The event was attended by more than 70 participants, mostly by Kuwaiti importers and Ukrainian sweets producers. The speakers provided answers to the participants’ questions.

As a result of the Virtual business mission, it is planned to organize personal online B2B meetings between Ukrainian exporters (with the assistance of the Association “Ukrkondprom”) and potential importers in Kuwait.

This event took place in the framework of cooperation between the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait, Exporters and Investors Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Association "Ukrkondprom" and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
