On February 21, 2025, the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait hosted a screening of the feature drama «Bucha», directed by Stanislav Tiunov, and the documentary «The Liturgy of Anti-Tank Obstacles», directed by Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk. Both films have participated in numerous prestigious international film festivals around the world.

The event was dedicated to the 3rd anniversary of the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine.

The screening was attended by members of the Ukrainian community in Kuwait, Kuwaiti citizens, teachers and students, Kuwaiti youth, as well as diplomats and their families.

Both films, which share a philosophy of unity among ordinary, courageous people who save others, making them heroes, were warmly received by the audience.

The event featured speeches by Mr. Mykola Dzhydzhora, the Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in Kuwait, Kuwaiti human rights expert Mr. Anwar Alrasheed, and Mr. Samir Alqallaf.

Guests also had the opportunity to view a photo exhibition at the Embassy, dedicated to Ukraine’s heroic struggle against Russian aggression.
