On February 25, 2021, to commemorate the birthday of Lesya Ukrainka, the Embassy launched a series of poetic video addresses as part of a literary flash mob celebrating the 150th anniversary of this esteemed Ukrainian writer. The participants' creative interpretations and theatrical presentations deeply impressed the jury. Each participant demonstrated remarkable skill and will soon receive personal diplomas and valuable souvenirs from Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Kuwait Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa.

The honorary jury, represented by Ms. Vlasyuk and Ms. Thakur, commented, 'We are grateful to the organizers for inviting us to participate in this significant celebration of Ukrainian literary history. It is truly heartwarming to see the younger generation embracing Ukrainian culture with such respect and love for literature, poetry, and the arts. We commend the extraordinary effort, creativity, and innovation of all the contestants. It was a revelation to hear Lesya Ukrainka’s poems performed in Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, and Polish for the first time. The participants' acting skills and the professional quality of the film production were remarkable. We encourage everyone to continue nurturing their talents and to draw inspiration from the profound words of Lesya Ukrainka, who once said, 'The word is a ray of wisdom'.
