On November 24, 2020, in observance of the Day of Dignity and Freedom, Ambassador of Ukraine Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa delivered an online lecture titled 'Diplomacy. Tolerance. Dignity. Valuable Dimensions and Reference Points' as part of the 'Raisins of Diplomacy' course.
This lecture was a component of the 'Educational Diplomacy' project hosted by the Kyiv department of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Ambassador Dr. Balanutsa engaged with Academy members in a discussion on the role of diplomats as intellectual soldiers who are prepared to navigate challenges around the clock, assume responsibility, and serve their country's interests. The event also featured a tribute to the renowned Ukrainian diplomat Mr. Hennadiy Udovenko, celebrating his life and career, and his foundational principle of 'Professionalism. Patriotism. Decency.'
During the interactive session, students explored various topics, including:
- The diplomatic achievements of Mr. Hennadiy Udovenko, who was heralded as the 'Man of the Planet';
- The meanings of 'dignity' and 'value orientations';
- The value principles of Ukrainian diplomacy.
