On 21 February 2023, the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait held a solemn event to mark almost 1 year of Ukrainian resistance to Russia’s full-scale invasion and 9 years since it waged a war against Ukraine.
Ambassador Dr. Balanutsa gave a thought provoking speech to an audience of around 70 guests, including representatives of Kuwait and foreign diplomatic corps in Kuwait, Ukrainian community, Kuwaiti friends of Ukraine and journalists.
Later on, he opened a photo exhibition by famous Ukrainian photographers Kostyantyn Liberov and Vlada Liberova, who had been documenting Ukrainian national and liberation war in the most dangerous parts of the frontline.
At the end, Dr. Balanutsa declaimed an emotional poem by Ukrainian poet and photographer Diana Rudenko under the title “Another curfew” (in English) and invited guests to watch a movie by Diana Rudenko dedicated to the brave Ukrainian people, fighting for their independence.
