Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation
08 May 2022 13:12

On May 9, we honor the memory of those who sacrificed their lives during World War II for the sake of global peace, prosperity, and security. The best tribute to the Martyrs' sacrifice is our collective commitment to prevent such a tragedy from recurring. However, by initiating an unprovoked full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has blatantly breached these commitments, undermining global security and showing disdain for the rules-based international order.

Now, our collective victory must pave the way for a revamped security system designed to genuinely ensure that war, occupation, and aggression never recur. The groundwork for this new, secure world is being laid at this very moment.

To mark the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, the staff of the Ukraine's Embassy in Kuwait has organized a photo exhibition showcasing Ukrainian warriors defending the Motherland from Putin’s regime, which with its barbaric tactics, has now surpassed the atrocities of Hitler’s Third Reich.
