On February 26, Ukraine commemorates the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

On this day in 2014, thousands of Crimean Tatars gathered for a rally in Simferopol to protect Ukraine's territorial integrity.
Every day, our Ukrainian fellow citizens in the temporarily occupied Crimea continue their tireless resistance to the Russian occupiers, demonstrating support for Ukraine and belief in the inevitable de-occupation of the peninsula. The struggle has been going on for 11 years now.

Today, the Crimean Tatar flag has been raised at the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait as a symbol of the struggle for freedom, dignity, and the restoration of justice.
