On 27 April 2026, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Kuwait, Maksym Subkh, met with the Editor-in-Chief of the leading Kuwaiti newspapers “Arab Times” and “Al-Seyassah”, Mr Ahmed Al-Jarallah.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti relations, as well as the current situation in Ukraine in the context of ongoing Russian aggression.

The Ambassador of Ukraine briefed the Kuwaiti side on the situation in Ukraine, including continued large-scale Russian missile and drone attacks against peaceful Ukrainian cities, their devastating impact on the country’s infrastructure, and the importance of consolidating international efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace. Particular attention was also given to prospects for economic cooperation and strengthening engagement with leading Kuwaiti media outlets.

Maksym Subkh expressed his appreciation to Kuwait for its principled position and humanitarian support.

For his part, Mr Ahmed Al-Jarallah expressed hope for the swift end of the war and the restoration of peace and security for the Ukrainian people.
