On 20 June 2022, the team of the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait, headed by Ambassador Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa visited a commemorative ceremony on the occasion of the World Refugee Day, organised by UNHCR office in Kuwait at Yarmouk Cultural Centre.

During the opening speech, UNHCR’s representative Ms. Nisreen Rubaian mentioned war in Ukraine as an outbreak of the new humanitarian crisis. in his turn, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Mr. AbdulAziz Al-Jarallah stressed Kuwait’s continuous role as humanitarian leader and do-gooder.
