On 11th March 2024, Ambassador of Ukraine Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa made a courtesy visit to the American University of Kuwait to meet with its President Dr. Rawda Hildegard Awwad. This pivotal encounter aimed at exploring avenues for enriching academic and cultural cooperation.

Highlighting the cultural exchange, Dr. Balanutsa presented a carefully selected collection of books to the university's library, including a memoir of the legendary Ukrainian football coach, Mr. Valeriy Lobanovskyi, showcasing his profound legacy in Kuwait. Additionally, the collection features a captivating anthology of Kuwaiti short stories, now accessible in Ukrainian, bridging narratives between the two cultures. Complementing this, the literary works of Taras Shevchenko, a towering figure in Ukrainian literature, have been introduced to readers in Arabic translation, further enriching the cross-cultural dialogue.

This meeting not only underscores the commitment of both parties to foster meaningful collaboration but also celebrates the shared vision of cultural and academic exchange.
