On April 11, 2019 the Ambassador-Designate of Ukraine to the State of Kuwait Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa presented copies of the credentials to the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled As-Sabah.

The interlocutors noted the significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations, made by the former Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Kuwait Dr. Volodymyr Tolkach and the current Kuwaiti Ambassador to Ukraine Dr. Rashed Al-Adwani.

The parties exchanged views on the priorities of the development of the Ukrainian-Kuwaiti relations. In particular, they emphasized the importance of the exchange of visits in order to intensify cooperation in the economic, political, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as agreed during the state visit of the President of Ukraine to the State of Kuwait in March 2018. Special attention was paid to organizing the next session of political consultations between ministries of foreign affairs of Ukraine and Kuwait in the nearest future.

Ambassador Oleksandr Balanutsa invited H.E. Minister of foreign affairs of Kuwait to visit Ukraine at his convenience.
