On October 21, 2018 the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait held a diplomatic reception on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.

The event was attended by Kuwaiti officials, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Kuwait, business, political and cultural circles of Kuwait, journalists, representatives of Ukrainian community etc.

In his solemn speech the Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Tolkach noted that this year witnesses the celebration and marking of a number of anniversaries like 100 years since the creation of the first Ukrainian state, 85^th anniversary of the Great Femine (Holodomor) 1932-1933 in Ukraine as well as 25^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the State of Kuwait.

Kuwaiti government was represented by the State Minister for National Assembly issues HE Adel Al-Kharafi.
