On July 24, 2018 the Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Kuwait Dr. Volodymyr Tolkach met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait HE Marzouq Al-Ghanim.

The parties discussed the ways of intensification of interparliamentary cooperation, the situation with the Crimean Tatars as a result of russian occupation of the Crimea, as well as the issue of commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Great Famine (Holodomor) of 1932-33 in Ukraine.

During the meeting the Ambassador passed a letter of the Speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A.Parubiy to his Kuwaiti colleague with an invitation to make an official visit to Ukraine.
