On September, 6 at the premises of «Leila Gallery cinema» Ukrainian film "Haytarma", dedicated to the events of mass deportation of the Crimean Tatar people in May 1944, was showed.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in cooperation with the Kuwait National Cinema Company in the frames of Ukrainian cultural days in the State of Kuwait. It was attended by representatives of foreign diplomatic corps, intellectuals, public & business circles of the Emirate, local Ukrainian community.

The cinema evening began with opening speech of Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Kuwait Volodymyr Tolkach who noted the historical parallels between official Kremlin policy on illegal annexation of the Crimea and the tragic events that happened 71 years ago.
