Ladies and Gentlemen!
January 15 is proclaimed in Ukraine as the Day of Mourning for the civilians (13 persons) killed at the Ukrainian checkpoint near Volnovakha. Pro-Russian militants attacked a Ukrainian checkpoint where a bus with civilians was waiting.
Almost 4500 people were killed since the beginning of Russian aggression. 298 passengers of the flight MN17 also became victims of terrorists, which are supported and equiped by Russia. Since September 5, 2014, when the sides agreed on ceasefire, terrorists killed 130 civilians in Ukraine.
On this occasion, the Book of Condolences will be opened on Saturday and Sunday, the 17th and 18th of January, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. till 03:00 p.m. at the premises of the Embassy to pay the tribute to the victims of the artillery shelling of a Ukrainian checkpoint near the settlement of Bugas (close to Volnovakha town) by the pro-Russian terrorists in the Donetsk region on January 13 that took lives of 13 civilians and injured 14 others.
Sincerely,
Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Kuwait
