Public Union of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Friendship honors the memory of the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko

On March 8, at the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Kuwait the Public Union of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Friendship organized celebration devoted to the 199th anniversary of the birth of the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko as well as the International Women's Day.
During the event the participants recited T.Shevchenko’s poetry in Ukrainian, Arabic, English and Russian languages, performed musical works on the Great Kobzar’s words and held a competition of children paintings «The cherry orchard by the house».
The meeting was an addition effort to strengthen the cultural dialogue between citizens of the two friendly countries.
The information about the festive evening was published by leading English-language newspaper of the emirate «Kuwait Times» and on the Embassy’s page in the social network Facebook - «Ukrainians in Kuwait».
